LEMOORE – Freshman Olivia Nourian totaled 5 kills and 3 blocks to help lead the Lemoore College women's volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over visiting Skyline College to close out the West Hills Challenge at Golden Eagle Arena on Friday.
The Golden Eagles defeated Skyline by scores of 25-18, 25-13, 25-16 for the sweep.
Also for Lemoore, Mia Elizondo led with 9 kills and Kyana Rivera served up 4 aces to contribute to the win. It was the Golden Eagles' second victory of the season over Skyline.
Earlier in the day, Lemoore opened the event with a 25-14, 25-19, 25-22 loss to Allan Hancock.
Amaya Keovilaysane-Ruiz posted 10 digs and 5 assists, Rivera added 5 more aces, and Elizondo totaled 15 digs.
Lemoore moved to 4-2 overall after the day's action. The Golden Eagles return to the court on Thursday (Sep. 5) when they travel to San Jose City College for a 6 p.m. non-conference match.
