Oroville, Calif. - Sophomore Meghan Weinrich tallied her 1,000th career point as the No. 5 Butte women's basketball team defeated Siskiyous, 88-49, on Saturday afternoon.
Five Roadrunners reached double figures led by Weinrich and freshmen Madalynn Bassett and Sarah Tait, who chalked up 14 points apiece. Sophomore Sanaya Shrader added 13, while freshman Jordan Arreola counted 12.
Weinrich added 13 boards, two assists, and three steals, while Arreola earned six assists and four steals. Sophomore Cassidy King reached double digits in the assists column with 10.
Butte (21-3, 6-1) heads out to Shasta next on Wednesday, Feb. 8 for a 7 p.m. tip.
