SAN MATEO – College of San Mateo is ranked No. 18 for the second straight week in the latest California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) State Poll after the Bulldogs cruised past their Coast Conference competition last week.
CSM went 2-0 in their matches, sweeping both San Jose City College and Skyline College to improve to 13-6 overall and 3-1 in Coast Conference action.
San Mateo opened the week with a 25-10, 25-13, 25-17 win at home over San Jose City. Aniyah Hall led the offense with 12 kills and added a pair of blocks.
Sina Leha'uli added 6 kills and Olivia Cooper chipped in with 5 kills. Abbi Sanchez had a team-best 21 assists, Kathleen Suayan totaled 6 digs, and Madison Low served up 4 aces.
Hall continued her offensive surge in the Bulldogs' 25-13, 25-13, 25-10 victory at Skyline. Hall once again led with 13 kills and hit an impressive .812 for the match.
Leha'uli had a solid match with 9 kills and a team-best 12 digs. Low added 8 kills while Cooper contributed 5 kills. Anivaolelagi Moors-Tafilele contributed 11 digs and Sanchez posted 36 assists.
CSM returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 23) at 6:30 p.m. when the Bulldogs host West Valley College in a Coast Conference match at home.
