Lancers Offense Too Much for Owls

Citrus Baseball hosted Pasadena City College today, losing 10-4. 

Citrus College goes to 4-6 overall on the season, while Pasadena City College improves to 5-3 overall. 

The Owls scored first in the top of the 1st inning to go up 1-0 on a Nathan Hellein sacrifice fly to score Dustin Yela, who tripled to center field before Hellein's at-bat. 

Pasadena City College scored five runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 5-1 before Jordan Quintero's RBI double in the top of the fourth innings made the score 5-2. The Lancers scored five more runs in the game while the Owls added two runs in the top of the ninth inning with a final score of 10-4. 

Dustin Yela led the Owls, going 3-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored. Nathan Hellein went 2-for-4 with one run scored and two RBIs, while Danyal Jenkins went 2-for-5 with one run scored and one stolen base. 

Citrus College will host San Diego City College next Tuesday, February 18th at 1 p.m.
