Cuesta Men's Water Polo continued their WSC winning streak over #4 Los Angeles Valley and clinched the top seed in the 2024 Western State Conference Tournament next week in Ventura.  The Cougars, currently ranked 9th in the State, and the Monarchs have shared the past 13 WSC crowns, with Cuesta currently owning four-year streak- including last year's overtime thriller in Van Nuys.  This Cougars have played the Monarchs twice this season and split their contests that were both played over the past five days.  They fell to their rivals, 17-12, on Saturday in the final game of the Golden West Tournament and added a home win today, 15-10.  Cuesta is now 18-13 on the season and undefeated against the WSC with a 4-0 mark.  Cuesta has not dropped a game to the circuit since 2019 and owns a 25-game winning streak against the loop.  The Cougars currently boast a 5-year title streak (1997-01), however their six-titles and 46 straight conference victories from 1989 to 1995 under Coach Terry Bowen remains their best run to date.
