
No. 21 Hawks return to action with win over Marin, next host No. 1 CCSF in conference opener
LIVERMORE – No. 21 state-ranked Las Positas College returned to the court following the holiday break to defeat visiting College of Marin by a final score of 94-83 on Friday night at the Nest.
The Hawks overcame a one-point halftime deficit and outscored Marin 58-46 over the final 20 minutes to pull out the victory.
Isaiah Victor nailed 5 three-pointers on his way to a team-high 23 points. Jordahn Johnson posted a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Jalen Patterson put up 19 points and added 4 assists while Jaden Phillips chipped in with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists.
LPC won its second straight to wrap up its non-conference schedule with a 10-4 overall record.
The Hawks now turn their attention to their Coast Conference North Division opener on Wednesday (Jan. 4) at 7 p.m. Las Positas hosts No. 1 City College of San Francisco in the first of two conference games between the rivals.
The defending state champion Rams head into Wednesday's contest with a 12-2 overall record and have won six straight.
