Softball goes 2-1 in WSC North action before sweeping Southwestern in a double tilt

The Raiders Softball team had hoped to play 6 games last week but the rain cut that to 5 games. With Wednesday being their only day off, the Raiders were scheduled to host Oxnard, on Monday, travel to Hancock on Tuesday, Ventura on Thursday, host Santa Monica in a rain make-up on Friday, and host Southwestern in a doubleheader on Saturday.
For second time, the Raider's game against Oxnard was postponed due to rain. That followed with a trip to Santa Maria and a Raider win over the Bulldogs, 16-2. Two day later, the Raiders traveled to Ventura where the Pirates stifled the Raiders bats, 3-0. A day later, the Raider bats came alive with a 16-1 5 inning win over visiting Santa Monica. To close out the week, the Raiders picked up two wins, sweeping Southwestern, 3-0, 3-1.
At Hancock, Mia Gregory went 4 for 6 with 3 RBIs, 2 runs and 3 stolen bases. Leah Cowans went 2 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs. Kailey Greene went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 RBIs and 2 runs. Amanda Smith picked up the win.
At Ventura, Mia Gregory, Leah Cowans, and Kailey Greene each had a hit
Coming home hosting Santa Monica, Kylie Kolkowski went 1 for 3 with 3 RBIs. Kailey Greene went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Amanda Smith went 3 for3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Amanda Smith got the win.
Mia Gregory went 1 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs in game one against Southwestern. Kailey Greene went 2 for2 with 2 doubles and a RBI in game 2. Leah Cowans went 1 for 3 with a double and a RBI.
The Raiders will host Santa Barbara on Tuesday, 3/25 at 2:30p and try again to play Oxnard on Wednesday, 3/26, 2:30p. The Raiders will pick up a forfeit win over Pierce who has suspended their season and have forfeited the remaining schedule for the year.
