BAKERSFIELD – The 2024 Lemoore College men's soccer season got off to a tough start as the Golden Eagles suffered a 4-1 loss at Bakersfield College in both teams' season opener.
Lemoore was down 2-0 at halftime before Braulio Garcia recorded the Golden Eagles' first goal of the season, taking the assist from Adrian Rios in the 60th minute, to cut the Renegades' lead in half.
But the Golden Eagles would get no closer. Bakersfield responded with two final goals to close out the contest.
Lemoore, now 0-1, returns to action on Tuesday (Aug. 27) when the Golden Eagles host Allan Hancock College in their home opener.
