#4 Men's Volleyball claim the overall Northern Region Championship and Canyon Division Championship, will host Santa Barbara in 3C2A State Quarters

The #4 Men's Volleyball team swept LA Pierce, 3-0 and Antelope Valley, 3-0 to close out their regular season and claim the overall Northern Region Championship along with Canyon Division Championship. Game scores against Pierce were 25-18, 25-23, and 25-18. Scores at Antelope Valley were 25-17, 25-17, and 25-20.
With the two wins, the Raiders ended the regular season 18-4 overall and 12-2 in the Northern Region.
The Raiders are now seeded #4 for the 3C2A State Tournament and will host #5 Santa Barbara, who leap frogged past Long Beach, on Friday, April 18th at 6p. The Vaqueros defeated the Raiders in 4 games on March 12th with the Raiders returning the favor on April 4th.
The Raiders were originally scheduled to travel to Pierce but a scheduled power outage on the LA Pierce campus forced a venue change and an extra Raider home game.
In the opening game, the Brahmas took the early and the Raiders tying it at 10. From there, scoring went back and forth until the Raiders used some blocking and Brahma hitting to pull away and get the win.
Game two saw Pierce taking the early lead again. This time the Raiders trailed a majority of the game, trailing by as much as 6 points the Brahmas were able to stop any Raider rally until late in the game. The Raiders used a 4-0 run to tie it at 22 and rallied to get the win.
Game three mirrored game one with both teams going back and forth and the Raiders using blocks and forcing Pierce hitting errors. The Raiders started to pull away and the Brahmas couldn't stop the attack and they would eventually run out of time.
