The Las Positas College women's volleyball team made some quick adjustments after San Jose pulled even in the match Wednesday night.
And the moves worked beautifully.
The Hawks won their sixth consecutive contest, 3-1 (25-23, 16-25, 25-12, 25-17, to close out nonconference play as one of the region's hottest teams.
"Yes, we had to make some adjustments after set 2. Look for some different matchups," Hawks coach Jamie Hadenfeldt said. "We also started taking care of the ball much better in the second half of the match."
Jade Dancil led the Hawks in assists with 38, and Taylor Huerta had a team-high 17 kills, three more than Ainsley Wade.
The Hawks (6-4) will open play in the Coast-North Conference with home matches against Hartnell on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and De Anza on Friday, Oct. 11, both at 6:30 p.m.
