The Irvine Valley men's tennis team has made the So. Cal. regional playoffs and is the No. 4 seed.

The Lasers will host No. 5 Santa Barbara City Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Irvine Valley finished the regular season 9-2 overall and was second in the Orange Empire Conference with a 6-2 record.

Santa Barbara City finished the regular season with a record of 4-7 overall and went 2-4 in conference play.

The Lasers haven't been completely healthy all season and now have all of their players back and ready to contend deep into the playoffs.

They sent all of their singles players and three doubles teams on to the state tournament in Ojai later this month through qualifying at the OEC tournament this past Thursday at Orange Coast.

Sophomore No. 1 player Nick Grove and sophomore No. 2 player Luciano Pardo won the state doubles title last season.

Grove also made it to the singles semifinal.
