Golden Eagles Softball Takes Two Hard Fought Games At Home Against College of Siskiyous!

Feather River College Softball hosted College of Siskiyous on Saturday, March 29th in a Conference Double Header.  The Golden Eagles dropped the Eagles 2-1 in the first game (9 innings) and won game two by a score of 8-5.  Freshman Emma Robles from Delano, CA drilled a line drive in the bottom of the 9th inning with bases loaded to score Mya Roberts (Markleeville, CA) and secure the extra inning win for the Golden Eagles.  Olivia Nanez from Live Oak, CA had two bases on balls, one sacrifice, and two stolen bases with a run scored in the pitcher's duel.  Reno, Nevada's Brittney Byram  was outstanding on the rubber for Feather River, allowing just a single run cross the plate.  Feather River and Siskiyous battled in another hard fought and well-pitched contest in game 2, with the Golden Eagles pulling away and securing the victory after scoring two in the 5th and one in the 6th.  Freshman Mckynlee Gay  from Quincy, CA scored two runs in game two, with Faith Helmandollar opening the scoring in the first inning with a 2 RBI double.  The Golden Eagles play next on Wednesday, April 2nd at home versus Lassen College, game times are 12:00 and 2:00 PM.
