FOLSOM, Calif. - Big innings were prevalent on Tuesday afternoon as the Folsom Lake College baseball team scored four or more runs in three different innings in its 16-9 win over Feather River College at Falcon Field.
Centerfielder John Mook provided the biggest hit of all, a fifth-inning bases-loaded double that cleared the bases and gave the Falcons an 8-6 lead that they would never relinquish. Shortstop Josh Winkler (two doubles, three hits overall) and rightfielder Aidan Malm (three hits, 2 RBIs) were the other offensive standouts for the Falcons on the rare day that the pitching staff was less than stellar.
The Falcons improved to 8-1, their best early season mark in school history. They'll try to improve on that this weekend when they play two games at Mission College in Santa Clara.
