Owls Grab Third Win in a Row in Dominating Fashion

Citrus College picked up its third win in a row Thursday morning, dominating a 23-4 victory over Santa Monica.

The Owls improve to 5-10 on the year, while the Corsairs drop to 0-11.

Ten different Owls scored in the game, led by Sierra Beltran's five goals. Arianna Pacheco and Frankie Pacheco each followed with three goals, while Delaney Latham, Xiana Cabral, Trinity Hulet and Hannah Wu each scored twice. Citrus also saw goals from Genesis Mradel and Andrea Hayler.

The Owls jumped out to an 8-0 lead before the Corsairs could catch their breath. Beltran got the scoring going and had a hat trick under her belt just 90 seconds into the second quarter.

Santa Monica managed to get on the board with two goals in the second, but the Owls had built an unsurmountable lead and held onto the 23-4 victory.  

Citrus looks to keep rolling as it heads to Palomar for a Friday afternoon contest at 1 p.m.
