The Saddleback women's water polo team won its seventh straight game with a 16-3 victory over Cypress College on Wednesday in Cypress. The Bobcats took an early lead and never looked back.
Saddleback has been on a roll, winning seven straight and opening up Orange Empire Conference play at 2-0. The Bobcats have beaten their two OEC opponents 32-4, with Cypress being the latest victim.
Saddleback had a 7-1 lead after the opening quarter, with Lola Annear, Katherine Butler and Emma Jimenez all scoring two goals in the opening eight minutes of play.
Saddleback gave up just one goal in the entire second half, beating the Chargers 7-1 over the final 16 minutes. Annear would finish with a game-high five goals on the afternoon.
Saddleback is now 9-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play. The Bobcats will play in the Mt. San Antonio College Tournament this weekend, starting Friday.
