Jags come from behind to beat Seahawks 8-6

In a non-conference game, the Jags (5-4 Coast) were down 3-0, and in the bottom of the third inning, they made a comeback win against the Cabrillo Seahawks (1-6), starting with Lareina Solis' leadoff triple over right field.
With Solis on third, Karissa Smith hit the ball to the third baseman, who made a throwing error to first base, while Solis stepped onto home plate. Melissa Felix bunted for a hit with no one covering first base. With runners on first and second, Kiya Sandoval got a sacrifice bunt to advance the runners. Then Malia Venegas hits a 2-run double to the left-center gap tying the game 3-3.
In the bottom of the 4th inning, with bases loaded, Sandoval and Venegas got back-to-back RBI walks to lead 5-3. Then Jade Henry hit an RBI single to right field, followed by Deja Jimenez with another RBI walk to lead 7-3.
The Jags scored one more run in the bottom of the 6th inning by Bella Caruso-Commisso's sacrifice fly to right field to score pinch runner Em Martinez from third.
In the top of the 7th inning, the Jags were up 8-3, but the Seahawks revived their bats by scoring three runs. Alaina Valdez, pitching after getting hit by a line drive to her ribs during the Cosumnes River doubleheader, struck out the last batter to end the game.
Venegas went 1 for 3, including a double with three RBIs and one walk. Felix went 2 for 4 with two runs. Henry went 1 for 2 with one RBI and a walk. Solis went 1 for 3, including a triple with two runs.
The Jags play a rescheduled game against Folsom Lake on Feb. 18, followed by a doubleheader against Santa Rosa on Feb. 22.
