Citrus College closed out the Riverside City College Tournament Saturday against some stiff competition, dropping a 13-5 loss to Orange Coast College – which was the State Runner Up last year – and a 20-3 defeat to Saddleback College.
The Owls slip to 1-7 on the year, while the Bobcats improve to 8-1 and the Pirates sit at 6-3 on the year.
Delaney Latham scored three goals in the first game, while Andrea Hayler knocked in the other two for the Owls. In the nightcap, Elizabeth Walls, Charly Figueroa, and Sierra Beltran each rattled in goals.
Citrus gets just under two weeks to regroup before making its home debut with the Citrus Mini on Sept. 28. The Owls will face RCC at 9 a.m. before taking on San Diego Mesa at 1 p.m.
