Cubs give up late goal to end in a draw

The Compton College Tartars visited the LACC Cubs for their 7th Conference match. The visiting team, seemed to come in more relaxed in to the match up, even though both teams had suffered a loss in their previous match and both are competing to finish in the top 6 in the conference to qualify for the Conference tournament next week. The Cubs came out pressing and attacking with some clear chances, and even scoring in the first half but goal being called back due to an offsides. The match was very intense as the Tartars would try to counter and beat LACC after each of the Cubs attack, but both teams would go into the half 0-0 with the Cubs having the clearer chances.

The second half would see the Cubs intensify their attack that would lead into a goal behind freshman Juan Munoz, and put the Cubs up 1-0 in the score. The Cubs would continue with their press and it seemed they would go up 2-0 in their lead, but another goal would be called back on an offside call. The Cubs showed frustration and the Tartars took advantage of that and tied the game with 15 minutes to go. The match would intensify even more and both teams would have opportunities to take the lead, but the score would stay the same at a tie 1-1. The Cubs overall record is 11-5-2 and conference record of 3-3-1. They will now travel to Mt. Sac on Friday night to finish their last 2 games of conference play.
