No. 7 Vikings Knock Down Chaffey 19-2

The No. 7 Long Beach City College women's water polo team dominated Chaffey College 19-2 in their second conference game. Currently, the Vikings are 6-4 overall and 2-0 in the South Coast Conference.

"Our girls got to get some experience from this game," said assistant coach Rachel Fattal. "We are excited to go into the Cuesta Invitational this weekend with more playing time under our belts."

Freshman center Emily Molendyk led the Vikings with seven goals, followed by freshman utility Kaylee Vanasopha with four goals against the Panthers.

The Vikings switched up the goalkeepers to get some extra playing time in for freshmen Avery Reyes and Janay Robertson, who each had a handful of saves.

The Vikings will return to the pool this weekend up north in the Cuesta Tournament against Saddleback on Friday, Sept. 29 at 10:10 a.m.
