Owls Grab Two Wins on Final Day of Delta Invite

Citrus College picked up two wins to end the San Joaquin Delta Invitational on a high note, downing Fresno City College 12-9 and the host Mustangs 10-7.
The Owls improve to 4-10 on the year, while the Rams drop to 4-4 and the Mustangs sit at 5-6.
In the first game, six different Owls scored goals, including three from Charly Figueroa and Bianca Casas. Hannah Wu and Andrea Hayler added two goals each, while Delaney Latham and Sarah Jurado also scored.
The Owls followed with a three-goal victory over host San Joaquin Delta after scoring five goals in the second quarter. The Mustangs tried to rally back and held Citrus scores in the remaining 11 minutes of the game, but Isabella Romero made five saves in the cage to help the Owls hold onto the win.
Latham led the Owls with three goals, while Jurado, Trinity Hulet, and Hayler added two goals. Figueroa also had a goal for Citrus.
The Owls look to carry momentum into next week, heading to Santa Monica on Thursday for a pair of games.
