No. 6 Women’s Water Polo Dominates El Camino 13-5

The No. 6 Long Beach City College women's water polo team took down the El Camino Warriors 13-5 on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Vikings hold onto their first-place slot in the South Coast Conference with an undefeated 5-0 record.

Center Julia Miller led the team with four goals, while attacker Katie Juarez and utility Kaylee Vanasopha each scored two goals against the Warriors.

"Janay had a great day in the goal for us and Julia Miller stepped up and created offensive opportunities for the team to come out on top," said Head Coach Chris Oeding.

Goalkeeper Janay Robertson shined in the cage, as she netted eight saves.

The Vikings will return to action on Friday, Oct. 20 at the Battle of the Beach Tournament hosted by Long Beach City College.
