Badminton Stays Unbeaten with Road Win at Compton
El Camino College continued its strong start to the young season Friday with its second consecutive road victory, a 15-6 win over East Los Angeles on the road.
The Warriors are now 2-0 on the season after Friday's victory. The team got strong performances on the singles side as Miyu Kawaguchi, Alyssa Hernandez, Kathryn Johnson and Arlene Constantino all scoring a pair of wins to score eight of the team's 15 points.
Chloe Ferrer and Lois Murallon both scored splits in their two singles matches to give the Warriors 10 of a possible 12 singles points.
The No. 2 duo of Christina Johnson and Hernandez swept both their doubles matches and the No. 3 pair of Kawaguchi and Kathryn Johnson capped off the win with a sweep in their lone doubles match.
The Warriors will return to action on Friday, March 6 with their home opener against Pasadena. The match gets underway at 2 p.m. in the ECC North Gym.
