Citrus Keeps Rolling With Two More Wins

Citrus College closed out the second day of the Citrus Tournament with two more wins, beating an Owl club team 14-13 and capping the day with a 9-5 victory over LA Valley.
The Owls have now won eight straight games to improve to 10-10 on the year. The Monarchs drop to 9-6 overall.
In the first game, Citrus played against former Owls, and it came down to the final quarter. The Owls rattled in one more goal to secure the win.
Charly Figueroa led Citrus with five goals, followed by Delaney Latham's four goals. Sierra Beltran added three goals, while Andrea Hayler rattled in another two goals. Genesis Moradel dished out five goals in the victory.
Citrus capped the tournament with a win after a big third quarter, outscoring the Monarchs 4-0 in the frame.
Latham finished with four goals to put her tally to eight on the day, while Trinity Hulet and Hayler each scored twice. Beltran also found the back of the cage for Citrus.
The Owls host Ventura College on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. for a Western State Conference game.
