Knights Sweep IVC 9-0 To Finish PCAC Season
San Diego City's women's tennis team bounced back with a 9-0 sweep of Imperial Valley on Thursday to finish the team season on a high note. The Knights went 5-7 overall and ended up in second place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference with a 4-2 record.

The Knights had a great start to Thursday's match at IVC by winning all three doubles matches. The No. 1 duo of Sinaia Haskal and Faith Satrya earned an 8-0 win over IVC's Henderson/Cazares, and the No. 2 team of Lucia Farmer/Charlee FitzMaurice also defeated their opponents, Espinoza/Godinez, 8-0.
The Knights won the No. 3 doubles and the No. 1 singles matches by forfeit.
In No. 2 singles, Farmer got past Lauren Henderson, 6-1 and 6-0, while Satrya defeated Jade Cazares, 6-0 and 6-3, at the No. 3 position.
Madeleine Satrya won her No. 4 singles match, 6-0 and 6-1, over Adalie Espinoza. Leila Adel also only lost one game in her No. 5 singles match as she defeated IVC's Godinez, 6-1 and 6-0.
Angelica Martinez had to go to a third set tie-break, but pulled off a 6-3, 3-6, and 10-8 victory over McDonough in No. 6 singles.
The Knights will now prepare for the upcoming PCAC singles and doubles championship that will take place at Grossmont College from April 6-8.
