NORCAL RUNNERS OF THE WEEK
Deia Kerseg – College of San Mateo
College of San Mateo’s Deia Kerseg delivered an impressive performance at the Modesto Pirate Invitational, securing a 3rd-place finish with a time of 18:48 on the 3-mile course. Kerseg has shown consistent progress throughout the season and continues to close in on the region’s top competitors, establishing herself as one of NorCal’s rising standouts.
Cyrus Justiniani – American River College
American River College’s Cyrus Justiniani also earned a 3rd-place finish at the Modesto Pirate Invitational, completing the 4-mile course in 20:00. Justiniani’s consistency has positioned him firmly among the top male runners in Northern California.

Maya Natarajan – Moorpark College
Maya Natarajan – Moorpark College
1st-Place Women’s 5k Open at the UC Riverside Invitational in 17:35. Natarajan finished 6 seconds ahead of fellow Runner of the Week recipient Jadeyn Skefich of El Camino College. Natarajan could contend for the SoCal individual title and looks ready to move up from her 16th-place state finish last year.
John Gutierrez – Alan Hancock
3rd-fastest Community College Male Finisher UC Riverside Invitational Open Men’s 8k 25:04. Gutierrez has won the Tour de Cuesta and his home meet this season. Last year's state runner-up will look to ascend to the top spot come November.
