Lake Tahoe using strong offense and stifling defense to rule CCCSIA Women's Soccer Poll
RIVERSIDE - If one didn’t know by now, Lake Tahoe is not playing – they are dominating. For the fifth-consecutive week, the state pacing squad has proven to be a behemoth up and down the coast as they hold the top spot in the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA).
Lake Tahoe has allowed just seven goals on the season and a mere score in conference play. They are coming off of a 7-0 rout over Butte and have won by four or more goals in the month of October. No. Fresno City carts the strongest record in the state at 14-0-1 with a 2-1 win over Clovis earlier this week.
No. 3 San Joaquin Delta and No. 4 Cypress swap spots, while No. 5 San Diego Mesa rounds out the top five. The top-10 remains the same with the exception of No. 10 Chaffey leaps into the top-10 after being ranked 13th the previous week.
No. 17 Citrus reaches the top-20 after not even receiving a vote the previous week. They defeated Canyons and routed West LA, 9-0, to currently pace the Western State South. No. 19 Santa Monica and No. 20 Las Positas return to the rankings after last week’s hiatus.
