Fresno City and Cerritos to meet for fourth straight year
NORWALK - For the fourth year in a row, the CCCAA Team Dual State Champion will be either Fresno City College or Cerritos College. The two schools, who won their respective regional championships, will meet in Norwalk at 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Falcons won the title in 2016, with the Rams posting victories the last two years.
Fresno City appears to go into the match with a slight advantage. They have the flexibility to move a variety of wrestlers up or down a weight and not lose much in the way of talent. Of the 10 weight classifications, the Rams have four of their wrestlers ranked #1 in the state in the most recent rankings, as well as four others that are ranked #2. As for the Falcons, who are ranked #2 in the state as a team, they will be represented by two wrestlers ranked #1 and two more ranked #2.
