Hans Seo hits a two-run homer in the ninth to help GCC to a 5-2 win over Grossmont

The long trip to El Cajon Wednesday to face Grossmont College was decidedly better on the way back As the GCC Baseball Team came away with a 5-2 win over the host Griffins to improve to 2-1 this season. 

The defending WSC Champion Vaqueros banged out nine hits in support of GCC starter Shohei Umeki who scattered just four hits in seven innings of work to get the win striking out nine and walking just two.  Besides the blast by Seo in the ninth inning, Trent MacKinney and Christina Muro each had two hits for Glendale with Muro also hitting a solo homer and scoring two runs. Edgardo Montanez also hit a double. 

Glendale has two more game on the road this week, Thursday at Oxnard and Friday at Palomar. Both games start at 2 pm.
