The West Valley tennis team opened 2023 with an impressive 12-1 outing at the 2023 WVC Doubles Day tournament at West Valley. The Vikings welcomed eight women's and seven men's squads from throughout California to Saratoga for the all-day tournament featuring some of the state's top teams.
The preseason format allowed WVC coach Lauren Hickey to experiment with pair lines, resulting in six players going undefeated, often with different partners. Lindsay Lee and Abigail Prokter both finished with four wins, while Sonya Hu, Brynn McKenzie, Faith Son and Tal Volinsky all had three wins and Allison Bartlett and Lavanika Sharma collected a pair of victories.
