Stockton, Calif. - Sophomore transfer outside hitter Haley del Rio paced the Falcon offense with 22 total kills on the day, but the Solano women's volleyball team fell to Sierra and San Joaquin Delta in straight sets on Wednesday evening.

Set scores were 25-20, 25-17, 25-20 against Sierra. Against San Joaquin Delta, set scores were 25-22, 25-18, 25-19.

del Rio hit .423 against host San Joaquin Delta with eight digs and two blocks with 15 digs against Sierra. Freshman Kala Somontan earned the starting nod at setter, counting 40 assists and 13 digs.

Defensively, freshman Rocelyn Hongria and sophomore Ixchel Moreno tallied 18 and 19 digs each on the day, respectively.

Solano (0-2) returns home to host Gavilan and Siskiyous on Friday, Aug. 30 fo rthe Solano Classic #1. The first match is set to begin at 3 p.m.
