Bobcats purrfect in OEC opener

The Saddleback women's soccer team improved to 7-0 with a 7-0 win against Santa Ana College on Tuesday inside the Saddleback Stadium.  The Bobcats have now outscored opponents 37-0 for the year.

Saddleback remained perfect for the year, scoring five goals in the opening half in cruising to the win.  The Bobcats scored four times in the opening 25 minutes in blowing open the game before the fans even got settled into their seats.

Maliyah Medley remained red hot, scoring in both the sixth and seventh minutes for a 2-0 lead.  Medley now has 11 goals through seven games, giving her the second most goals in the state.

Kylie Beu scored her sixth goal of the year off a pass from Medley in the 15th minute to give the Bobcats a 3-0 lead.  The lead swelled to 4-0 in the 21st minute when Camryn Marshall scored her first goal of the season.  Marshall then assisted on a goal from Lacy Ruston in the 24th minute as the lead grew to 5-0.

Saddleback tacked on two more goals in the second half as Emma Snow netter her sixth goal of the season in the 60th minute and Kaylee Zych scored her first of the season in the 74th minute. 

Olivia Wynn played all 90 minutes I goal, making three saves on the afternoon. 

Saddleback held a 27-4 advantage in total shots and had a 16-3 advantage in shots on goal.  

Saddleback improved to 7-0 on the season and will travel to Orange Coast College (5-3-1, 0-1) on Friday night.  The two teams are scheduled to start at 7:00 PM inside LeBard Stadium in Costa Mesa.
