VENTURA – The SBCC men's tennis team began its 2022 campaign with a 9-0 loss at Ventura.
The doubles team of Taylor Kleine and Kyosuke Kiuchi dropped a close one on the No. 1 court, 8-6. In the second doubles match, Menno Raeymaekers and Arnaud Vangenechten were able to take two games.
On the singles side, Kleine dropped a tight first set 7-5 in the first set, but was held to one win the rest of the way. Raeymaekers was able to win two games in the No. 1 singles match, as was Kiuchi in the No. 3 match.
The Vaqueros will hit the road on Thursday to face Bakersfield at 2:00 p.m.
