Falcons Rally Falls Short against Beavers in Season Finale, 8-6

Sacramento, Calif. - The Solano baseball team struck first in the fourth and rallied late with a pair of runs in the ninth, but it came up short as the Falcons fell 8-6 at American River on Friday afternoon.

Freshmen Jimmy Larson and Jaxson Bates both tallied doubles and a RBI with Larson going 2-for-4 on the day with a run. Freshman Dimitri McLen led the Falcons with a pair of RBI on a 2-for-5 outing.

Freshman Anthony Galindo (0-4) was the pitcher of record, coming in the game in relief for freshman Dylan Tostrup in the sixth inning. The righty gave up five hits over 2.1 innings, while striking out three, and allowing only one earned run.

Solano (1-11) returns home to host Diablo Valley next for a 1 p.m. first pitch on Saturday, Feb. 26.
