Baldonado Ties School Record in Four-Set Win at Napa Valley

Napa, Calif. - Freshman Jeryn Baldonado tied the school record for assists with 49 in the Falcons' four-set win at Napa Valley on Friday evening.

Set scores were 28-30, 25-17, 25-13, 25-23.

Baldonado joins three other Falcons who reached the 49 mark in a single match.

Offensively, freshman Dani Rydjord paced Solano with 20 kills and 11 digs, adding four aces. Freshman Chris Rigney Cruz and sophomore Mylei Moli added 10 kills each with Rigney Cruz earning three aces and Moli adding a block.

Defensively, sophomore Kailyn Kaiser led the team with 17 digs and three aces, while freshman Sammy Brown tallied 15 digs with nine kills.

"Overall we got a big win," Solano head women's volleyball coach Darla Williams said. "It was a battle from start to finish."

Solano (10-11, 3-0) remains on the road, heading to Marin on Wednesday, Oct. 13 for a 6 p.m. match.
