Compton CA - The Compton College Tartars baseball team lose 8-2 to the Irvine Valley College Lasers
The tartars were able to get 10 hits for the game but was missed out on getting timely hits leaving a total of 13 runners on base. Michael Heard (2-for-4) and Angel Lopez (2-for-4,) led the tartars with an RBI each. Both players provided some offensive spark for the Tartars in the fifth and seventh inning.
The Tartars were not able to score after the seventh inning to continue their push towards getting a lead against the Lasers. Starting pitcher, Joshua Chavez had three scoreless innings and three strikeouts. The Tartars will look to avenge their lost in their next home game.
UP NEXT: The Tartars will be home on Tuesday, February 15th , as they play Barstow College. First pitch is scheduled for 2pm.
