In their first game of the 2021 season the Corsairs fell to visiting Miracosta 2 -1.
The MiraCosta Spartans went up 1-0 on a penalty kick in the first five minutes of the game. The Corsairs responded quickly with a goal from Vashti Zuniga assisted by Charlie Kayem. The Corsairs held the tie until the very end of the first half when they gave up the second goal of the game.
The second half of the match was hard fought with more shots taken by the Corsairs and more time of possession, but the Corsairs were unable to come up with the equalizer.
On the game Yosemite Cruz logged two saves for the Corsairs in goal.
The Corsairs are now 0-1 on the season and will travel to play El Camino College Friday in search of their first win of the year.
