Falcons clobber Butte in Super Regional opener

The Folsom Lake baseball team opened their Super Regional best-of-three series against Butte with a convincing 13-2 win on Friday afternoon at 'the Lake.'  With lefty starter Sky Wells blanking the Roadrunners over his seven innings - while lowering his ERA to 1.84, second best in the state - and first baseman JT Waldon launching a 420 foot 3-run homer to put the Falcons ahead 5-0 in the second, the Falcons coasted to an a comfortable victory.  Wyatt Reginatto and Bryce Petrilla both added solo homers while Jared Breedwell, Jeff Bauser, and Drake Digiorno all collected two hits apiece.

The Falcons will hope to close out the series on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 pm.  A game 3, if necessary, will be played Sunday at 12:00 pm.
