SAN MARCOS, CA (10/15/2021) -- The Comets were locked in a tight battle against the Southwestern College Jaguars in set one eventually winning 27-25. The Jags came back in the second winning 25-17. The Comets started to roll in the third winning 25-20 and kept the momentum in the fourth to secure the match in a 25-17 win. Freshman standout Casey Widdoss (Mission Vista) led all hitters with 17 kills for a hitting percentage of .240. Sophomore Courtney Hoffman (Escondido) racked up 11 kills off sets from Alana Lacangan and Kenna Broach (Heritage). Lacangan (Rancho Buena Vista) recorded 21 assists and 14 digs on the night. Libero Sophia Bolivar (Escondido) recorded 23 digs and four assists.
