The American River College baseball team ran into a buzz saw on Thursday as Butte College's Carson Seeman pitched a complete game shutout as the Roadrunners downed the Beavers 5-0 in Oroville on Thursday.  ARC recorded hits in three of the first four innings but only managed one more the rest of the game and Seeman did not walk anyone.

Freshman Danny Valenze (Whitney) made his second career start, throwing a scoreless first inning.  Freshman Tyler Moore (Del Campo) took over in the second and allowed just two earned runs over the next 5 1/3 but Butte managed to score three unearned runs as well.  Three of the runs scored came in the 7th inning which essentially put the game away.  Freshman INF/P David Centeno (Roseville) laced a pinch-hit single to right in the 8th inning and sophomore CF Dominic Ott (Woodcreek) had two of the four hits for ARC on the afternoon.  The two teams meet at Beaver Field at 1:00 p.m. on Friday for game two of the series and game three will be back at Butte on Saturday.
