Citrus College took on one of the top teams in the Western State Conference, but couldn't get much going offensively in an 8-0, five-inning loss at Antelope Valley College.

The Owls drop to 13-22 on the year, 5-5 in conference action with the defeat. The Marauders improve to 25-9 overall and 8-1 in the WSC with their second win over the Owls on the year.

Tatiana Figueroa had the only hit for the Owls, a base hit in the first inning.

Despite the eight runs, Jaidyn Harris threw five strikeouts in the circle for Citrus.

The Owls have another battle in front of them, hosting No. 14-ranked Bakersfield College – which holds an unblemished WSC-East record – next Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
