(Torrance, CA) With an 11-4 win over El Camino College (29-11, 17-7) on Friday, April 29, Mt. San Antonio College (32-8, 19-5) claimed the South Coast Conference title. Long Beach City College (28-12, 19-5) finished with an identical conference record, but the Mounties will get the top playoff seed from the conference by virtue of taking two out of three from the Vikings in early March.

A six-run fourth inning sparked Mt. SAC on Friday, giving the visitors an 8-0 lead the Warriors could not overcome.

Leading the way offensively for the Mounties were Nin Burns II (4-6, 2 R, 2 RBI, 2 2B), Alex Reynozo (2-4, 2 R, 2B), Cristian Enriquez (3-6, R, 2 RBI, 3B), and Will Bermudez (2-5, R, RBI, 3B). In addition, CJ Ontiveros (3-5, R, 2 RBI) and Blake Borgogno (3-6, R, 3 RBI) each homered for Mt. SAC.

Alec Beck (2-2) picked up the win for the Mounties, throwing two innings in relief of starter Brian Park (3.2 IP, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 SO).

Mt. SAC now awaits the announcement of the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional pairings.
