The Condor baseball team "got off the schneid" on Tuesday afternoon, in a big way.

OC defeated Allan Hancock College 13-10 to collect their first WSC win of the season, and break a nine-game winless streak.  During the tough-luck streak, the Condors had many opportunities to win, but struggled to close games.  Tuesday afternoon was a turning point.

Six players had multiple hits, and battled from behind three times.  After falling behind 4-0 in the first, OC pushed six runs across in the top of the fourth inning.  Kaden Tsuji (3-5, 2R, 1RBI) singled through the left side of the infield to score Thade Miller (3-5, 1R, 2RBI, 1BB). Johnny Alvarez (3-5, 1R, 1RBI singled to right, driving home Trevor Hammond. Adrian Sandoval (2-4, 2R, 4RBI, 1BB) delivered the big blow with a double that scored Lucien Wechsberg, Alvarez, and Tsuji.

After giving the lead back in the bottom of the inning, OC came back with runs in the sixth and eighth inning to make the score 8-10.

In the top of the ninth inning, Sandoval drove in Tsuji, for his fourth RBI.  Michael Murray (2-4, 1R, 3RBI, 1BB) came up with the clutch single to drive in Erick Chaparro and Niko Sacolles.  Miller then pounded a triple to right center, scoring Murray and A. Alvarez, to put the Condors up for good.

"We were able to string together soe good at bats that put us back in this game. It was a good team win with contributions from a lot of players," said head coach Steve Hernandez.

Oxnard will host Hancock on Thursday from 2:00 pm, in the Nest.  They will finish the three game series back in Santa Maria on Saturday from 1:00 pm
