SBCC Dominates LA Pierce in Road Sweep

LOS ANGELES – The SBCC men's volleyball team made it look easy in a Friday sweep at LA Pierce, hitting with incredible efficiency to win it, 25-7, 25-13, 25-14.

The Vaqueros (5-4, 2-2) finished with a .500 team hitting percentage, easily its best of the year. No player on the team had more than five kills in a balanced attacking effort.

Middle blocker Sean Ortiz had team-highs of five kills and three blocks. Opposite Troy Fitzgerald also tallied five kills on a season-best .833 hitting percentage.

Cole Richards went for four kills, three aces and five digs. Fellow outside hitter Milton Haliniak led all players with four aces.

Santa Barbara held LA Pierce to a .091 kill percentage on the way to its third sweep of the season.
