The Condor Softball team got a much-needed win against Antelope Valley College, in the Ventura Tournament over the weekend.

The back-and-forth game saw multiple lead changes and three comebacks by the young Condor squad.

Mia Guerrero pitched the entire game, earning the win.  She struck out four Marauders while only allowing five runs over eight innings of work.  Guerrero was also 2-4 (1 Double) at the plate, with three RBI's, a walk, and a run scored.

Amris Rabago (2-4, 3RBI, 1R) drove in the winning runs in the bottom of the 8th inning during the International Tie-Breaker inning. Cynthia Vallejo (3-4, 1R, 1RBI, 1BB), Marissa Torres (2-3, 2R, 1RBI, 1BB), Rylee McDaniel (1-3, 1R, 2BB), Juliann Herrera (1-3, 2 BB, 1R, 1 RBI) all contributed at the plate for the Condors.

"This was a pretty amazing win by our team," said Oxnard Head Coach, Erin Lawley.  "Everything came together in our win (today).  Without small-ball, stringing hits together and heads-up base running, I don't think the outcome would have been the same.  We never gave up and it was great to see the entire lineup contribute, yet again."

The win avenged a 4-1 loss to AVC (15-6, 3-1) earlier in the year, proof that OC is making strides as a team.
