Citrus College capped off its three-game Western State Conference series with LA Mission Saturday afternoon, dropping an 8-3 defeat.

The Owls slip to 4-14 overall and 0-3 in conference, while the Eagles improve to 8-10 and start WSC action undefeated at 3-0.

For the third-straight game, Citrus only managed three runs against LA Mission, with all three coming in the bottom of the fifth.

Roman Robles led the inning off with a single up the middle before Ronnie Wohlert joined him on base with a base hit. The pair came home on a solid single to left from Conner Green, who came home after tagging up on an Owl sacrifice fly.

The Eagles exploded for four runs in the top of the eighth and added two insurance runs in the ninth to secure the 8-3 victory.

Citrus heads to Antelope Valley College on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
