HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA- Charger's beach volleyball (6-3, 3-2 OEC) continued their season with a double-header against the Golden West Rustlers (4-8, 1-3 OEC) and the Orange Coast Pirates (8-0, 4-0 OEC) at Newland Beach Courts. Cypress defeated Golden West 4-1 while coming up short against Orange Coast 1-4.

The Cypress ones, Jordon Wilson and Tainea Allen, set the standard by winning 21-7 and 21-14 over Golden West. Chloe Kerley and Carolina Urquieta won their match in three sets to add another point on the board for the Chargers. Jocelyn Abad and Rachel Gonzales secured their match up with 21-8, 22-20. 

Orange Coast proved to be tougher competition for Cypress as they dropped four of five matchups. Jocelyn Abad and Rachel Gonzales were the bright spot for Cypress as they were victorious in their matchup, 21-13, 21-15.

UP NEXT: Cypress will face Orange Coast and Santa Ana in a double-header on Friday, April 8. The match versus Orange Coast will begin at 11am at the Newland Courts in Huntington Beach.
