Women’s Soccer Blitzes Norco in Season Opener on the Road

NORCO, Calif. --- Sophomores Natalie Vargas and Angelica Taylor helped lead the El Camino College women's soccer team to an impressive 6-0 season opening road win against Norco on Friday afternoon.
Vargas and Taylor, who were two of the team's leading scorers last season, picked up where they left off as each scored twice en route to the victory.
Alexis Perez-Fonseca and Mia Hogentogler each added a goal with Julia Ausland recording a pair of assists. Newcomers Bella Baligad and Alexis Anaya also recorded helpers in their Warriors debut.
Karlee Clark started the match in net and recorded the win with McKenna Morey taking over in the second half. Neither goalkeeper was tested in the Warriors' dominant victory.
The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday with a trip south to take on San Diego City at 3 p.m.
