The GCC baseball team continued its run and hit parade against Antelope Valley College Saturday March 11 on the Marauders home field, pounding out 19 hits in a 12-6 win to sweep the three-game series against the WSC South rivals to improve to 3-0 in conference play and 13-7 overall.

Jackson Benattar, Nick Sutherlin and Ricky Perez all had three hits each for the Vaqs, with Benattar adding a pair of doubles to his stat line and Sutherlin hitting a home run as well as Joey Craig for one of his two hits. Brandon Nguyen added a run scoring triple for GCC. Starting pitcher Geo Hernandez pitched five innings to get the win and allowed just three hits and struck out five and was followed on the mound by Joseph Perez, Tobias Plotkin and Maximo Newhart.

Glendale continues WSC play this week with a three-game series against West L.A. Tuesday March 14 on the road, at home March 16 with both games at 2:30 pm and at West L.A. Saturday March 18 at 1 pm.
