Playing another tough schedule, Chabot (1-9) got its first win of the season with a 4-0 triumph over Mission on Feb. 15. Winning pitcher Mitch Benson worked 6.1 strong innings, allowing one hit and striking out four. Reliever Mark Turnquist nailed it down by allowing three hits and fanning three over 3.2 innings.

A trio of Gladiators had two hits apiece: catcher Sam Gilliam, second baseman Ryan Stemplinger and shortstop Ricky Marquez.
