Compton, Calif. – Freshman Venessa Soriano pitched a total of five innings in Tuesday afternoon's game against El Camino (8-3, 4-2) allowing eleven hits and runs. Soriano also struck out seven batters, but the Tartars (1-11, 1-7) fell 11-0.

Sophomore Alyssa Barajas had the only hit of the game for the Tartars going 1 for 3.

Compton will play again at home on Thursday February 27 against Pasadena City with a 3 p.m. start time.
